Carter Jackson, Principal of Jackson Preservation, has a uniquely thorough grasp of the preservation industry. With over a decade of experience practicing historic preservation, including public and private sector roles at the local, state, and federal levels, he understands what is necessary to fulfill government regulatory requirements for historic building documentation, restoration, and rehabilitation projects of all types. ​

 

As a small business, Jackson Preservation prioritizes providing thorough and individualized preservation consulting services. We help our clients understand the unique qualities embedded in their historic properties, and we can advise them on how to leverage their buildings to attract funding and generate practical solutions for building rehabilitations.  Jackson Preservation works on projects with a range of stakeholdersfrom individual property owners with limited experience, to large and experienced project teamsand we can help shepherd your project from the planning and approvals stage through completion.

Documentation Studies

Carter Jackson, Principal, has extensive experience researching and documenting historic buildings in England and the United States. He holds a PhD in the History of Art and Architecture from Boston University.
